Our Educational Philosophy
We are committed to certain principles in education, based on the
educational theories of Critical Pedagogy, Pablo Friere*,
Constructivism, and Transformative Education.

"The future isn't something hidden in a corner.
The future is something we build in the present.”
--
Pablo Freire |
Due to our beliefs and experiences of how the world of education works
and in some instances how it should be working, we are
dedicated to assist others in creating change. Every teacher has power,
to varying degrees, in their own classroom. What we do is teach the
teacher to harness that power for the betterment of their students, as
well as themselves.
Through these methods, a social justice system is created and
perpetuated.
(
* Freire
was a social activist educator that taught the illiterate that education
is power. We strongly recommended that all educators read at least two
of his books.)

"We
have ignored cultural literacy in thinking about education … We
ignore the air we breathe until it is thin or foul. Cultural
literacy is the oxygen of social intercourse."
